All In a Day's Time: 2012

2012 has been a year of ups and downs. I will just go month by month to let you all know what has been going on.
February
My Mamaw was having lots of pain in her legs and was having issues walking. She was admitted back into the hospital and has what they think is serotonin syndrome. She is unable to walk or have use of her lower extremities. At first she was having problems with her arms and hands too, but as of now (June) that has corrected itself. She is unable to stay alone and my Aunt Beth has been with her since February. We try to pitch in, but she is staying there full time.
Also, my Papaw became very sick towards the end of February and had to go in the hospital. He had surgery and never regained consciousness afterwards. His heart gave out and he passed away February 28, 2012. Our world has been UPSIDE DOWN!!! I was sad for myself, but my main concern has been my children. Mamaw and Papaw have been their world.....and then their world fell apart.

MARCH
Alyson (my baby) turned 16 on the 8th. I can't believe how grown she is. I am truly blessed.

Papaw would have celebrated his 80th birthday on March 9th. We decided to send balloons off for him to celebrate his birthday.

My dad celebrated his 60th birthday on St. Patrick's Day. We had a party at their house with lots of his brothers and sister---and later that evening we went to The Rendezvous for dinner.

Doesn't Mamaw look so much healthier in this next picture....with the help of a lift she is able to get up into a chair now. Yay!!!

APRIL

My little boy turned 4 years old...wow,....where has the time gone??? We had a Mommy/Cooper day and went out to breakfast and to the zoo while the girls were in school. Later that night we had his family party at Mamaw's house with his tractor cake Mrs. Linda made.

MAY

May was another busy month.....and PEYTON had her 8th birthday on the 14th!!! (if you couldn't tell---my kids' birthdays are March, April, and May---I stay poor those months...LOL!!)

Since Peyton's birthday falls in the middle of all the May madness, we are having her friend bday party later on :)

AND Peyton's dance recital. They did a great job this year and she has LOTS of fun!!!!! This was also the FIRST time Mamaw has been out of the house (not counting going to the doctor by ambulance). She was able to purchase a used van with a lift and she got to go see Peyton's recital. I think they were both REALLY excited!!!!!!!!

JUNE

Well, I guess I'm all caught up again since it's only June 6, 2012 as I type this.

I have a darn kidney stone that is driving me crazy!!!!!!!! But, we are not letting it slow us down. We went to the zoo last Friday....it was such a beautiful day. Nice breeze---all 3 kids went---and hardly no arguing----that's a good day all by itself---lol!!!!

I DID let the kidney stone keep me from going to Crittenden County Relay for Life Friday night though!!! That makes me sad---but some good friends sent me pictures...thanks ya'll!!!!
