Happy Fall Ya"ll!!!

Happy first day of fall.  I LOVE fall, it is my favorite season.  The air is cool, the leaves start changing colors....dinners can consist of one pot wonderful soups, stews, and chilis.
Glad today is Friday, ready to spend time with my FAMILY!!!
My brother and the gang are coming in, so Peyton is utterly exited to see Baylee Jo. And the weather is supposed to be wonderful, so we can go do fun stuff OUTSIDE!!  Looking forward to it....want to talk them in to the Botanic Gardens...they can play and I can sneak it my favorite thing to do-----TAKING PICTURES!!!!!  Would love to have one of all the cousins--great Christmas present for the grandparents :)
This week has flown by--yay!!  Haven't had time to do to much with the kiddos--but they have had fun just being outside and playing with their friends!!!
Did get a chance to make a fall decor from the supplies I picked up at Michaels last week :)

As I mentioned before, Peyton takes dance on Monday evenings...so Coop and I have gotten in the habit of going to Grandmommy and Pop's house while she is there.  He has really enjoyed playing in the backyard and with the doggies:)

After work today, I plan on going to the grocery store...want to get some things to make on my new indoor grill/griddle...YAY!!  It came in and I'm so excited.  I had my last griddle forever, and the poor thing got tired and gave out on me...so I ordered this one...and now I'm ready to use it :)

The little things make me happy!!!!
Alyson went over to her friends house last night to make shirts for the football game tonight!!!  They stopped by the house this morning to show me.  They are GOOD girls and SO sweet (most of the time)

Angel, Brittney, and Alyson
Hope everyone has a MARVALOUS weekend!!!!!

Livin' in High Cotton

What a GREAT weekend......so sorry to see it come to an end.
Saturday morning the kiddos and I + Angel (Alyson's friend) headed to the agricenter for the flea market.  I have not been in some time...say 2 years or say.....it is hard to do with a 3 yr old....but he, and all the kids were really great.  We got some t-shirts, mixes for tortilla soup and a yummy sweet dip Peyton fell in love with.....oh, and The Coop bought himself some tennis balls.  I don't know what his obsession with tennis balls is, but he was hunting for one the other day with no luck.  So when he spotted them at a booth for $1 he was estatic.  He was a big boy and handed the lady his money all by himself :)   Later after we were home he was walking with the girls and he was telling a neighbor (who I have known FOREVER) about his tennis balls, so Mr. Hester goes in the garage and gives him a tennis racket.  Guess what Coop's been doing all weekend? And I love my neighborhood.  The kids have friends to hang out with....and I don't worry about them, because someone is always looking out for them.  I am BLESSED!!!!!
Today I got my wish: PICTURE TAKING!!!!  YAY!!  They did not turn out as well as I would have hoped, but the cotton is not being helpful this year....it just looks strange.  But here's what I did get...hope you enjoy!!

My babies

Little boys and dirt roads= :)

After the pictures, it was mandatory I go to Memphis...again.  So the girls and I loaded up, with Grandmommy in tow this time and off we went.  Made a stop at Michaels to get some felt for Mom's new creation for Peyton's "non-bows" and I picked up a few things to craft with.  Then to Sam's Club.  Where Peyton goes to school (St. Michael's) we take turns sending snacks for the kids.  This works out really well I think because #1 I only have to think of snacks every 11th week #2 Everyone has the same thing everyday.
This week is Peyton's turn so we picked out 5 days worth.  Hope all the kiddies enjoy :)
After that we made a run by Starbucks.  I had to have a Pumpkin Spice Latte....tis the season.  I guess it's good we don't have one on this side of the water....or it could be bad because I will use lots of gas crossing the Mighty Mississippi.
The rest of the afternoon, the kids headed outside to be with their friends.  A nice day....a nice weekend.
Here's to a great week everyone.....be BLESSED!!!!

Yippee for Friday :)

Well Happy Friday ya'll....hoping for a great weekend.  Hopefully I can talk my kids into some picture taking...I noticed while going to Marked Tree today...the cotton is finally starting to come in...NEED my cotton pictures :)  We shall see!!!
I am SO enjoying the fall weather :)  It makes me A LOT less grouchy when I'm not HOT!!!
Got a happy in the mail yesterday....my membership cards for Memphis Botanic Gardens.
Now that it's cooler we can go over and play at My Big Backyard, wander through the gardens, and take PICTURES!!
Had a quiet evening at home.  Sat outside talking with Mamaw for a while, watching the kids play.  So beautiful outside this evening. Even Roscoe had to have his sweater (I won't mention how EVIL he was while I was trying to put it on him)

You can see the meaness in his eyes

Cooper wanted to "do crafts" while I was getting dinner ready...here's his creation
Decided while I still had some energy left I would think about what to do for breakfast in the morning......I do not do breakfast...my kids are used to grabbing what they can find...I know...that's horrible!!  So, I baked banana nut and blueberry muffins.  The house STILL smells good :)
Mamaw said Cooper didn't have a nap today (too busy enjoying this weather).....well, I guess he was tired, because while I was cleaning up the kitchen I found him asleep on the couch.  He is a doll...I could eat him up.

fell asleep just like this...does NOT look comfortable
Guess I'll head off to bed myself...I do hear a giggle every now and then from Alyson and Angel (Alyson's friend).....we are going to the Flea Market at the AgriCenter tomorrow....looking forward to it (maybe start a little Christmas shopping)
Hope everyone has a fantabulous weekend :)

Almost Friday :)

So glad tomorrow is Friday!!  This has been the LONGEST week.  I did find out some HAPPY news though.  After all the letters, doctors, and waiting, I have finally been approved for my breast reduction!!!! YAY!!  So please keep me in your prayers, as I will be having this done October 4th.
On Monday, Peyton started dance again for the year.  She HEARTS Ms. Taylor and The Studio.....this is her 3rd year...and she's a big girl now so she takes for an hour and a half.
Alyson has been busy as usual...gone to volleyball games and church.  Her first Disciple Club meeting at school is today....I'm so proud she is not ashamed to let her peers know she is a Christian.
Coop is enjoying the weather....he and Mamaw have been outside everyday this week...plus he likes to play with his little girlfriend, Gracie from next door.  They are a mess.  The other day he looked at her and said "you look pretty today"  What a charmer :)
We did do one little craft this week....and Cooper has enjoyed sponge painting....even though he makes a HUGE mess.  (he now has a paint shirt he MUST wear)

Peytons was dancing AND paiting

Our Leaf People

Doesn't Alyson look excited??

Looking forward to the weekend.....think we will head on over to the Flea Market and see what goodies we can find.  Happy Thursday ;)

Family Day and Remembering 9/11/01

Ten years ago today I was at the allergist getting my allergy shot...when one of the nurses said a plane had flown into the the Twin Towers.  A day NO American will ever forget.
It has been a great weekend...Friday evening we went to the Delta Fair....the kids had a ball...and this Momma did too...just watching their faces while riding the rides and seeing the animals was priceless.
At the first little barnyard, Cooper wasn't quite sure of the animals..(by the time we went to the petting zoo, he was a pro) While taking a picture of Coop and one of the goats, the goat jumped up on the gate and was looming over Cooper's head...luckily he didn't notice until after my picture :)

Alyson took her friend Angel and they took Delaney and Peyton around for a while...and William and I took Coop.  Then we all met up and the big girls did their thing and we all went to ride rides and watch shows.  A great time had by all!!!

Saturday we went shopping...had to find the supplies for all my fall crafts I want to make.  Also got some fabric for mom to make Peyton some flower ponytail holders.  She is getting to "big" to wear bows...she says :(  Makes a Momma sad.  I have been putting bows in little girls' hair for a long time...and now that time in my life is over.  After shopping we went to lunch at the Trolley Stop Market.  That is one of our FAVORITE places.  Mom had never been....I think she's a fan now :)

Today we went to my Uncle Robert's for lunch.  My Grandma Allison has 8 kids and they were ALL together today!!  It doesn't happen too often since my Uncle David lives in Japan.  All my cousins were there too, except for 5.  Add all the great grandkids, and great-great grandkid...you can imagine it was loud, but FUN!!!!!!

Grandma with ALL her children

The grandkids (minus around 5)

The great grandkids (missing a few)

Evie...great, great grandchild

The outlaws (the ones who CHOSE to be a part of this big ole family)

Peyton, Cooper, Alyson, and Granma Allison
When we got home, I was exhausted.  Peyton and I worked on her Star Student project then all the kids headed outside to play.  Thankfully I had some quick dinners from Sam's Club in the freezer....so that's what was on the menu tonight.

Back to work tomorrow :(  Cooper says he wishes I could stay home with him EVERYDAY....well, me too son...me too!
Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL weekend...and have a HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Happy Tuesday everyone....feels like Monday to me.  It was a crazy morning...I dropped Alyson off and couldn't make a left turn out of the parking lot...BECAUSE the "nice" policeman was not directing traffic as he should have been...but I did get all kids to school on time:)  BUT....I left my cell phone at home...for those that know or WORK with me...that is a BIG deal.  I had 14 missed calls when I was able to go home and retrieve it...with 1/2 a battery, because Cooper had decided since it was there...he would listen to music all morning.  Anyway....enough about that.
HOPE everyone had a very happy Labor Day!!!!!!
The kids and I had a GREAT weekend....lots of arts and craft....then Sunday evening we went to the Memphis Zoo for members' night.  It was so nice....there was a nice breeze...and most of the animals were out and playing together.  We go to the zoo a lot...but this was the most I have enjoyed it so far :)
As I said before, my Aunt Beth and Uncle Tom were in town for a short visit....I cooked lunch for them plus Mamaw, Papaw, and Mom yesterday....it was nice...it just gets a bit LOUD when everyone is there.
Here's some pics from our weekend:)
